Description of Formula Cura Disc Brake Kit - polished

The Cura is a clean, simple, and great riding brake designed to fit all riders and their bikes. The lever is Formula's most ergonomic and intuitive yet. With how capable mountain bikes have become at conquering any trail the caliper is proficient in taming the bike to overcome the trail.

This new era of Formula disc brakes has given the chance to change the status quo. The Cura is Formula’s first brake to use mineral oil. Formula's brake performance standards have always been out of the range for the inclusion of mineral oil. Formula has finally found and use a mineral oil that complements the performance of Formula's brakes.

The Formula Cura has been designed from top to bottom with riders in mind. In the laboratory, and on the race track, they have confirmed that the Cura is an extremely powerful, wide range brake that feels comfortable from weekend warriors and enduro riders to World Cup Downhill racers. Formula believes that brakes are one of the most personal and intimate parts of the bike, this is why they have simplicity and efficiency in mind when they design it.

The brake will be delivered filled and bled.

Please note: The brake will be delivered without adapters or disc.

Customer Reviews
Great! Definitely an upgrade compared to Shimano SLX M675.
Stopping power is phenomenal compared to SLX in dry, wet and winter. I've been using organic pads only.

I had many issues with SLX for eg. inconsistent bitepoint, spongy feel on rear brake lever (the bleeding cup is horrible) and internal structural defect in front brake mastercylinder which made oil slip through while pressing slowly.

Bleeding procedure is much better with threads in both ends. You'll be able to push and pull with both syringes.

I've been using Curas almost a year now with no issues. Time will tell how well made these are. Discs were somewhat warped on arrival but that's another review.

I'm gonna get Speedlock valve for front brake caliber so I can do fork services quickly.

Worth the money for me at least.
