As mountainbiking becomes faster and faster and the terrain even more technical, the M8100 series aims to give the rider the necessary feeling of confidence and safety.
Following the principle of passing on the experiences and technologies of the top series, the Deore XT incorporates the innovations of the high-end XTR components. Accordingly the new 12-speed groupset features of course Micro Spline and Hyperglide+.
Shimano Deore XT BR-M8120 disc brake caliper
The Shimano Deore XT BR-M8120 Postmount brake caliper is with its 4-piston construction perfect for Trail and Enduro use. Compared to its predecessor a quicker piston retraction leads to superior modulation what results in an improved braking control. The N03A Resin brake pads with Ice-Tech cooling fins in combination with the powerful 4-piston caliper guarantee extremely good deceleration. In addition, the design with 4 pistons reduces disc brake rotor wobbling noise and increases the braking power by 10 % compared to the BR-M8020 caliper.
Please pay attention to the maximum permitted disc diameter depending on your fork or frame.
