ADVANCED ROAD seat pad insert

Advanced level seat pad with medium density foam provides excellent protection and comfort, is lightweight and breathable. A two-layer foam construction with specially developed support zones reduces pressure on the soft tissue and increases blood circulation in critical areas, even on longer rides.

• Mountain bike or road bike-specific designs take into account differences in the rider's sitting position and weight distribution.

Road bike
On a road bike, the rider's position is shifted forward and is mostly static, unlike a mountain bike where the rider moves more frequently on the saddle. The forward leaning riding position also causes the pelvis to rotate forward, resulting in a narrower sit bone angle at the point of contact between rider and saddle. To accommodate this specific position, the GORE® Road chamois has been designed with a typical road bike shape and a degree of protection and support to maximize comfort for long days in the saddle.
