Explosive performance in winter thanks to an ultra-lightweight two-layer construction

The Dottore Termico is a pair of long cycling tights with a great length designed for intense training during the winter season. This high-performance garment is part of the “Weather Proof Category.” It utilizes Q36.5’s proprietary “UF - Hybrid Shell PLUS” technology in combination with a second layer of perforated fleece on the front of the legs, eliminating the need for a membrane. These two layers work together as a system that ensures a stable body temperature, retains natural body heat, and provides effective protection against the elements.

This version is now enhanced with an intelligent fiber on the inside—known as “heat fiber,” made from coffee bean processing byproducts—which provides an additional warming effect. The fiber absorbs long-wave infrared rays from the environment, thereby warming the body. Measurements show a 1°C increase compared to the previous version.

The cut and construction of this version are rather minimalist. It is the result of further development of the ergonomic pattern design, which uses only a minimum of strategically placed seams. Thanks to the anti-stress panel, central seams in the crotch area are avoided. The laser-cut finish has also eliminated unnecessary seams. By skillfully aligning the panels in the direction of the pedal stroke, the fabric’s vector elasticity is optimally utilized. This is a strategic design feature that sensitive riders can feel while pedaling.

The Dottore Termico was tested at over 110 rpm. It offers maximum freedom of movement and provides sufficient warmth despite its low weight. This specialized piece of training apparel reflects the very contemporary idea that winter training does not automatically mean slow training. Even during the cold season, a rider will never stop monitoring their performance or working on their motor skills and position. Gone is the thick, heavy, and baggy feel of traditional long winter cycling tights with a long length. In their place is this new, tailored weapon: the Dottore Termico!
