This easily foldable long-sleeved midlayer is known in-house at Assos as the 'Thermobooster' and that's exactly what it does: it provides extended insulation around the midriff so you can still rely on full comfort and protection in the cold conditions of winter.
We based the cut of the Thermobooster on the design of a long-sleeved jersey and finished it off with a full-length zipper and a front pocket that doubles as storage space. The result is a versatile midlayer that promotes heat retention around your midsection and arms and easily stows away in a back pocket when needed. For this very reason, we have also integrated a storage compartment into the johDah winter jacket especially for the thermal booster. This means you can start your winter training well prepared for fluctuating weather conditions and radical differences in altitude.
As a layer directly over the skin layer, the Thermobooster traps body heat, breathes and wicks away excess moisture via our OSMOS Heavy material. The thickest of our roughened fabrics with a stretchy tricot layer that allows the shirt to wrap smoothly around your torso and arms, providing all-round protection from the cold. The open-edged seams and concealed zipper are attached to the layers of clothing underneath and above without being bulky, thus optimizing the entire clothing system.
Features of the Assos EQUIPE RS Winter Long Sleeve Mid Layer Jersey for men
- OSMOS Heavy: This jersey is mainly used. It is the heaviest brushed material in the entire OSMOS family (290 g/m2), which also has an asymmetrical stretch and a soft, durable structure. The brushed inside provides a high level of insulation.
- Integrated balaclava: Stowable neck and face protection made from OSMOS Light for winter riding in the coldest conditions.
- Ramp pocket: An integrated pocket with a fabric cover also serves as a storage option.
- Concealed zipper : Full-length zipper that is concealed to make it easier to put on and take off and to allow seamless combination with other layers of clothing.
- Sealed collar: Comfortable against the skin thanks to a microfiber cover for the zipper.
- Raw cut: The seams are open-edged. This creates a soft, aerodynamic design that can be seamlessly combined with other additional layers of clothing.
- raceFit: The jersey fits like a second skin - the fit is tighter and more compressive compared to our regularFit and designed for top performance. Whether training or racing, nothing slips.
