The winter jacket for all weather conditions is a versatile piece for the globetrotter—rather than being designed for competition, it offers unrestricted functionality. The jacket’s design is based on the experiences and needs of a wide variety of winter sports activities in the Dolomites, such as skiing, ski touring, and mountaineering. Reimagined for biking, it’s not the traditional softshell jacket typically used in winter, but rather a tool that combines the protection of a body-mapping jacket with excellent insulation properties in a single design—waterproof protection and thermal insulation are combined through a “sandwich” construction. The extraordinary result is a jacket with a remarkably light weight of just 280 g (size S) for the depths of winter! This makes it 30% lighter than the Termica jacket, yet it can be used in the same temperature range. The cut is tailored to a woman’s body and features an additional cord strap at the jacket’s hem for a sealed fit and a comfortable feel.
Technology of the Q36.5 Adventure Winter Jacket for Women
- The outer shell features a body-mapping construction that combines a Q36.5-exclusive, three-layer, waterproof fabric—the UF 75 Shell (75 g/m² and 15 denier)—with a durable water repellent finish.
- The inner layer consists of a new version of UF-Air Insulation; the brushed jacquard knit is now made from a micro-polyester blend that enhances thermal insulation. It forms a layer of warm air against the skin, allowing for a high rate of moisture absorption and release before it has time to turn into sweat through condensation.
- Sealed Protection: The jacket features a hermetic collar, elastic wrist cuffs, and an elastic waistband, with strategic sealed seams to protect against cold air.
