The DT Swiss R470 db is an all-rounder among road bike rims. Light, wide and with a very good price/performance ratio. The R470 works ideally with wide tires and provides with its reliability for many unique racing bike experiences.

The front wheels are all hand-spoked and carefully tensioned and centered. This and a high spoke tension guarantee high stability and durability of the wheel. SON uses Sapim Race stainless steel spokes with brass nipples.

The Sapim Race is a light and strong butted spoke for a wide range of applications. Conified spokes from Sapim offer two decisive advantages: they are lighter and yet stronger. A special cold forging process preserves the linear molecular structure of the material and increases the strength of the thinner middle section by at least 48%.
