Tufo C Hi-Composite Carbon Tubular Tire for clincher rims - 23-622

The Tufo C Hi-Composite Carbon is a tubular clincher competition tire that makes mounting of tubular tires on clincher rims possible! When inflated, the tubular clincher is pressed toward the rim in the same manner as a tubular tire. Simultaneously, the bead blocks of the profiled rubber band spread out embedding on the rim shoulders and eliminating any rotation of the tire against the rim as well as the possibility of the tire unseating. There is no pressure applied to the rim walls.

Application of composite puncture proof ply and high composite carbon tread compound featuring Silica made possible to use thinner tread and still maintain high mileage. Thinner tread also lowers rolling resistance while the tire is maintaining ideal shock absorption properties and high puncture resistance. With 120 tpi carcass in the sidewall area and 240 tpi under the tread.
