Features of the Lake CX146 Road Shoes for Men

CX/TX Sport Last:
The higher cadence & longer ride times which characterize road cycling require excellent foot control to avoid hot-spots & numbness. With a much closer fit than any of the off-road lasts, the Sport last cradles the foot securely to prevent any unwanted movement. This last features a precisely fitted toe-box, high arch & mid width ball girth.

Outsole:
Road Sport Fiberglass injected nylon outsole, only compatible with 3-bolt style road cleat and pedal systems. The CX146 is built on Lake’s amazing Fiberglass injected Nylon sole. Lake’ s Nylon sole is world famous for its uncompromising comfort and performance. No other injection nylon sole offers the same level of stiffness or comfort.

Upper:
The upper features softshell fabric, water resistant microfiber, Thinsulate 200gr insulation and a waterproof membrane making this a highly water resistant cycling shoe great in various conditions. Clarino microfiber offers great durability and the suppleness found in leather at a significant weight reduction.

Closure:
BOA® Fit System. This BOA® dial is built for gloves and freezing temperatures, defying sand, mud, and ice. Combined with Click-Fit quick release, the system makes for easy entry and exit.

Temperature rating: Down to 25°F/-4°C

Water resistance:
The uppers are treated with a durable water resistant (DWR) coating that will wear away over time. Lake recommend reapplying a DWR spray 1-2 times a year for moderate riders and every 2-3 wet rides for daily riders

Sizing Suggestion: For use with winter weight socks we recommend ordering 1-1.5 sizes up from your usual Lake Cycling shoe size.
