The coated CeramicSpeed T47a Shimano is an asymmetrical bottom bracket and offers even higher protection against wear and is more corrosion resistant compared to standard bearings. The T47a Shimano is designed for bike frames with a housing width of 77mm. CeramicSpeed bottom brackets offer extreme stiffness, low friction, high reliability and unmatched durability.

All bearings from CeramicSpeed are equipped with high-quality CeramicSpeed balls and have been pressed into shells made of aluminum. The ceramic balls are rounder, smoother, harder, lighter and more durable than steel balls. The CeramicSpeed coated bearing has an even longer life and lower resistance. Compared to standard CeramicSpeed bearings, life is increased by 60% and resistance is reduced by 50%. The precision dust caps with a secure and snug fit, also fully protect the face of the bearing while providing exceptional performance without sacrificing performance.

CeramicSpeed coated products are covered by a lifetime warranty*. The unique coating formula is a metallic layer that covers the bearing races and makes them 75% harder than steel. Thanks to this, they are highly resistant to corrosion and the coating provides an even lower friction than our standard bearings. Even if the bearing is contaminated with degreaser, water or mud, the risk of bearing failure due to corrosion is negligible if you choose the coated version.

The confidence in our own products should be passed on to the customers at this point. Products outside the new warranty terms will continue to be covered by a four-year warranty.
