Syncros Silverton SL Carbon 29" Wheelset - Centerlock - 15x110mm / 12x148mm Boost - SRAM XD

The Silverton SL wheelset by Syncros is one of the lightest and fastest MTB wheelsets currently available on the market.

To achieve this, the engineers at Syncros rely on the latest carbon fibre technology. Here, rims, spokes and hubs are made of carbon in one piece. This ensures an extremely low weight with very high torsional and lateral stiffness at the same time. This results in a very low inertia load, which in turn improves handling and increases speed and acceleration.

An additional feature of the construction are the carbon spokes. While the design visually suggests 20 spokes, there are actually only 10, as they run continuously from rim edge to rim edge. Furthermore, the one-piece construction of the wheels eliminates the nipples, what creates a closed surface and no Tubeless rim tape is needed.

The wheelset has already proven its worth in tough and demanding races during the Cross Country World Cup. The racing claim is supported by the Tubeless technology and the hookless rim flanges. In addition, the 30 mm inner rim width and the associated wider tires provide more grip and comfort on any surface.

SL Carbon Layup / Carbon UD

These two technologies combine lightweight construction and special carbon manufacturing techniques. The SL Carbon Layup, specially developed for Scott RC bikes, achieves an average of 10% lower weight compared to conventional manufacturing processes, while maintaining the same strength.

In combination with the unidirectional arrangement of the carbon fibers, which ensures a higher tensile strength and stiffness, can thus be achieved at lower weight, a high stability of the component.

Note: Hookless rims are designed for use with Tubeless compatible (folding) tyres and can be ridden both with and without inner tubes.
