The upper of the Wildfire 2 shoe is made of robust, recycled mesh and reinforced with a mesh of Kevlar wires that wraps your foot comfortably and snugly and provides flexibility, improved stability and heel hold. In addition, the Wildfire 2 can be quickly and easily switched from hiking to climbing mode with the SALEWA® Switchfit adjustment system. The result: better performance on edges as well as when climbing and overall more safety in technical terrain.
The Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) also offers a customizable footbed so you can opt for a tighter or wider fit as needed.
To keep you going in inclement weather, the Wildfire GTX is equipped with a GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining that gives you waterproof and breathable protection. The Pomoca Speed MTN outsole features a climbing zone in the toe area and strong, pronounced tread lugs for good traction in mud and on soft surfaces, while S-Path technology supports natural rolling. The light grip POMOCA rubber gives you good traction in both dry and wet conditions.
3F System - connects lacing system, sole and heel - for the perfect combination of fit, flexibility, support.
Climbing Lacing - provides precise lacing in the toe area of the shoe, for more support and performance in difficult terrain.
Gore-Tex - offers you absolute water resistance and perfect temperature regulation on the foot thanks to the extra breathable membrane technology.
Adaptive Eyelets - work together with the 3F Total System to increase the envelopment of the foot and the resulting comfort in the midfoot area.
POMOCA® S Path - corresponds to the foot pressure points on the ground and supports the natural rolling of the foot.
Switchfit adjustment - to quickly switch from hiking to climbing mode. By tying in the extra lace hole, the heel is pulled in and the foot is pushed forward towards the toes. This constricts the toes, just as is common for climbing shoes, to provide a secure grip on small footholds.
