To meet the demands of the best WorldTour pros, Mavic has targeted three key performance factors for the Cosmic Ultimate: maximum power transfer, foot support and adjustability. The Mavic test riders reported that many shoes excel in one or two of these aspects - but they wanted a shoe that could do all three. Mavic started with the outstanding Matryx material, a patented technology for the upper shoe, with Kevlar threads in the polyamide fabric. This lightweight, foot-hugging material offers superior stability and support with minimal lateral movement. In combination with a stiff full carbon outsole and only 6.5 mm height, the result is a pronounced pedaling efficiency, so that your power is transferred to the rear wheel without loss. The Matryx upper is overlapping, with a 3D tongue and a close, comfortable fit for all foot shapes and sizes.
