Fulcrum has developed the Red Zone 5 wheels specifically for Cross Country and Marathon use and they impress with durability and reliability not only in training. Visually, the MTB wheelset is presented in a tone-on-tone design that accentuates with a partly shiny, partly matt finish.

To offer more grip and control in extreme conditions and to allow riding with low tire pressure, the aluminum rims grew in width compared to previous models. While the 2-Way Fit Ready concept allows for easy conversion to a Tubeless system, the asymmetric profile with a low profile height of 18.6 mm ensures even spoke tension by balancing the forces emanating from brakes and cassette.

In terms of hubs, the wheelset takes its cue from its sister models Red Zone Carbon and Red Zone 3. While they all share the same hub shell, the Red Zone 5 wheels rely on sealed bearings, which not only benefit durability but also efficiency and can be fine-tuned with a special adjustment ring.
