Assos TACTICA Winter Cargo Pants T3 Men - black series
The TACTICA Winter Cargo Pants is a completely new platform for off-road riding in winter weather. It combines our warmest RX thermal insulation with a new 3L softshell and a construction that doesn't bulk, makes pedaling easier and protects your knees.
BEHIND THE PRODUCT
The TACTICA Winter Cargo Pants are based on two new technologies: The heavy, insulating RX Extreme textile and the even heavier, insulating Winter Foam Light Softshell. As the main material, RX Extreme creates a warm microclimate with thermoregulation and water-repellent properties, while Winter Foam Light protects the lower legs from splashing water on the road and on the trail.
The two thigh pockets are sewn for better durability and then welded to prevent leaks. The pocket on the right thigh has a zipper, the pocket on the left thigh is secure yet easily accessible thanks to the ramp design. Reflective elements at the ends of the legs catch light as you pedal, ensuring you'll be seen in low-light conditions.
WHEN/HOW TO USE IT
Combine the pants with the summer-light TACTICA liner and STEPPENWOLF Spring Fall Jacket in cool weather off-road or while commuting. When it's cold or wet, optimize the microclimate with the TACTICA Winter Liner and TRAIL Winter Jacket or the GT HASHOOGI Winter Jacket.
FINER DETAILS FEATURED FABRICS
The main fabric is the 350 gsm RX EVO Extreme, a brand new thermal fabric in jersey layering. It is our warmest roughened four-way stretch fabric, which ensures full freedom of movement in the saddle. It also provides a dry microclimate thanks to breathability and a DWR finish. Panels of Winter Foam Light wrap the lower legs with a storm-resistant, heat-insulating softshell, and the pockets are stabilized by Type.OF11. All textiles are protected with a DWR Water + Mud Shield Tec coating.
CONSTRUCTION/FIT
The TACTICA Winter Cargo Pants use Louvre Tec for a body-hugging, low-volume fit while still leaving enough room for thermal layering and knee pads. Welded pocket seams keep the elements out.
ENGINEERING
- Water & Mud Shield Tec: A new trail-specific technology that repels water and dirt, prevents staining and actively wicks away moisture generated inside.
- zeroPressure Waist: A waistband made of soft, highly elastic material that improves comfort and support at the waist without pinching or squeezing.
- Louvre Tec: Excess material has been removed from the back of the knee to prevent creasing or wrinkling during pedaling.
