SRAM Apex 1 Groupset - XPLR | 1x12-speed | D1

Description

SRAM Apex 1 Groupset - XPLR | 1x12-speed | D1

Gravel, Bikepacking, Adventure, occasional touring and everything in between the SRAM Apex groupset knows how to have fun. The Apex components not only ensure smooth and reliable shifting, but also guarantee secure chain retention and controlled yet powerful braking performance. The Apex groupset is easy to understand and operate so that users can concentrate on what's important: the joy of riding.

Composition of the SRAM Apex XPLR groupset:

  • DB-APX-D1 | hydraulic Apex disc brakes:
brake lever (left) & DoubleTap® brake/shift lever (right) + brake caliper (Flat Mount, front/rear)
  • FC-APX-1W-D1 | Apex 1 crankset (DUB™)
  • RD-APX-1-D1 | Apex XPLR rear derailleur
  • CS-PG-1231-D1 | XPLR cassette (PG-1231, 11-44 teeth)
  • CN-APX-D1 | Apex chain (Flattop®, incl. PowerLock™ chain connector)

Adapters and bottom bracket cups are not included. These can be ordered separately.

The Apex disc brake system not only stands out with its powerful hydraulic brake caliper, but also offers maximum comfort and control thanks to its ergonomic dropbar levers. Although the left brake lever does not have a shifting mechanism at all, it is in no way inferior in terms of functionality to the right DoubleTap® shift/brake lever, which is perfectly matched to the XPLR 12-speed rear derailleur. Accordingly, both impress with the possibility of adjusting the grip width as well as their revised grip body shape.

In many disciplines, a single chainring is all it takes. The Apex 1 crankset, combined with the wide range of the PG-1231 cassette, gives the right gear ratio for any kind of adventure. While the elegant and stable X-SYNC™ chainring ensures perfect chain management, the PowerGlide II cassette offers the gear ratio spectrum of a 2-speed drivetrain in a package for 1x12-speed shifting systems.

Whether on road or off, the X-Horizon™ rear derailleur skilfully combines smooth gear jumps with unsurpassed chain retention. Meanwhile, the Flattop™ construction makes the Apex chain not only lighter and narrower, but also stronger and more durable. The result is not only faster and more precise shifting, but also a quieter chain run.
