Before treatment, cleaning should be carried out without conventional detergents, as any residues may affect the effectiveness of the impregnating agent. It is therefore recommended to pre-wash with Nikwax cleaning gel for footwear. Dirt prevents the ability to repel water. So regular cleaning will increase the performance of your footwear.
