Just like an all-round mountain bike, the Ergolace shoes offer pure versatility in terms of functionality and design. Whether you're going on an alpine tour, a trail session or just an after-work ride, these shoes are made for adventure. With their specific sole, the Ergolace flat shoes are the perfect choice for all cyclists who like to ride off-road. The Ergolace is characterized by minimal rolling of the foot and a widened sole that provides plenty of contact with wide platform pedals for a more even load distribution. Thanks to the three-layer waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane, cyclists can enjoy their adventures to the full. It offers protection from the elements and keeps feet dry. The hard-wearing ripstop fabric upper is abrasion and tear resistant, while a PU-laminated toe cap and side reinforcements provide additional protection and durability. For greater comfort, the ergonomic Ergolace closure hugs the foot to ensure an optimum fit. When designing the Ergolace, care was taken to ensure that it does not look as bulky as other mountain bike shoes and that you can relax in it after a day on the bike.
The X2 outsole gives the shoe even more versatility. The X2 outsole was developed to create an optimal balance between efficient performance and flexibility for comfort and control on and off the bike. The compressed EVA midsole provides stability and cushioning, while the Vibram rubber tread provides grip and traction no matter what the conditions underfoot. The directional tread pattern ensures a secure grip. It has just the right spacing and depth to bite into softer ground and is made from a unique material compound that offers good grip even on slippery surfaces. The flat pedal version is characterized by a low-profile, tapered profile in the midfoot area, in which the pedal pins find an immediate grip and thus create an optimal, mechanical connection to the pedal.
