The signature AERO+ concept behind the high-end aero carbon wheels was applied to the development of both new rims, minimizing their drag while optimizing their handling; but the different playgrounds and riding characteristics led to different dimensions. While the rim height is the same at 30mm in both cases, the internal width differs, 20mm to fit more aerodynamic tires in 25 to 28mm width on the A 510, and 22mm for wider road tires in 28 to even 32mm width on the E 550.

Exactly this feeling gives you the DT Swiss E 1800 SPLINE 30 wheels. They are designed for longer rides even on rough roads or even unpaved surfaces. Therefore, the inner width of the rim is wider and perfect to accommodate 28c tires. The wheels offer greater comfort with lower tire pressure, but have slightly higher drag.
