INPEAK – Precision In Every Detail

The powermeter unit from INPEAK is an indispensable measuring device for every training session. Mounted on the left crank arm, the Powercrank-E powermeter not only records the wattage generated by the cyclist with incredible precision, it also determines the values for cadence, torque efficiency (TE) and pedaling smoothness (PS).

To ensure that the vibration effect caused by the ground surface (MTB terrain, potholes, cobblestones) does not negatively influence the results, a Anti Shock System is used which employs IMU sensors (Inertial Measurement Unit) and various data filtering algorithms. The system foor automatic temperature compensation (ATC) ensures accurate measurement performance in all weather conditions, while the IP67-certified waterproof housing prevents the ingress of rain, mud or dust.

The ANT+ and Bluetooth wireless protocols are responsible for data transfer to compatible bike computers and sports watches as well as to analysis and registration apps on the smartphone. The firmware can be easily updated wirelessly using the INPEAK Manager app. The Powercrank-E sensor is powered by a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. The powermeter is manufactured in the EU.

The powermeter sensor is supplied pre-assembled on the selected Shimano crank arm for Hollowtech II bottom brackets. Before mounting, check that there is sufficient space between the crank and frame for the measuring unit. The manufacturer recommends a distance of at least 8 mm.
