Fats are an important source of fuel for the muscles during prolonged endurance training of light to moderate intensity. In addition, a trained person burns more fat during such training sessions than an untrained person. This means that trained athletes maintain more muscle glycogen, which improves performance in the final phase of prolonged endurance training. The availability of muscle carnitine stores determines the amount of fat that muscles can use for energy during exercise. It has been shown that carnitine levels in muscle can be increased provided the correct dose is taken for long enough and always in combination with carbohydrates/sugars. Of course, the intention is not to consume additional carbohydrates with every dose of L-carnitine. This would increase your body weight, which would have a negative effect on your endurance performance. For this reason, it is important to always combine L-carnitine with a meal that is already rich in carbohydrates/sugars or, for example, with a post-workout recovery shake. Consuming L-carnitine tartrate in the form of Carnipure® over a period of 12 to 24 weeks, and always in combination with carbohydrates, will increase the L-carnitine level in your muscles. This stimulates fat recovery during low-intensity exercise, preserves glycogen for the final phase of a competition and can therefore improve your performance during prolonged endurance training.

Directions

Take 2 x 2 capsules per day, starting 4-6 months before a major endurance event. Always take the capsules in combination with a meal, snack or drink that is rich in carbohydrates and/or sugars.
