KMC XEL Chain - WAXED | BlackTech | 11-speed - black

To meet even the highest demands, KMC has designed the chains of the X-Series with the specific characteristics of Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo drivetrains in mind. The outstanding property is the Double X-Bridge construction with precisely manufactured plates that feature dynamically chamfered edges. The result are gear changes that border on perfection and maximum smoothness. And with their perforated inner and outer plates, the XEL models also successfully address the issue of weight reduction.

This version of the X11 EL chain also has the special BlackTech coating, which is characterized by its high durability and particular rust resistance. The premium chain is given the finishing touch with GO WAX chain wax, which effectively improves shifting performance with its friction-reducing properties and extends the service life of the drivetrain.

Extra Light (EL) | Slotted inner and outer plates save weight without compromising the running properties and durability of the chains in the EL series.

Double X-Bridge | The precisely chamfered outer plates have precisely defined angles. This design enables not only faster but also more precise shifting.

BlackTech | This is not a simple coating, but a surface treatment in which the color becomes an integral part of the material. In a two-stage process, each individual chain component is first treated before the process is repeated with the assembled elements. This not only gives the chain a durable, rich black color, but also makes it extremely resistant to rust.

GO WAX | A noticeable reduction in friction and a significant improvement in shifting performance. The innovative dry wax formula from GO WAX makes this possible. The advanced KMC chain wax not only ensures optimum efficiency, but also extends the service life of the drivetrain by forming a water-repellent microfilm on the chain. This prevents permanently both heavy dirt adhesion and accelerated chain wear.
