The Sylvan Sidekick wheel is optimized for all-mountain use and skillfully combines a light and dynamic ride feel with the robustness required for aggressive trail riding. The groundbreaking freehub mechanism decouples the drivetrain from the rear wheel when coasting, and an adjustable dead zone filters kickback and chain vibrations before they reach the pedals. This mechanism virtually eliminates pedal kickback.

As the drive mechanism is decoupled from the pawl ring, frictional resistance is significantly reduced. The result is smoother riding over the toughest terrain, improved traction, increased speed and control and reduced fatigue.
