The best racers in the world need it, the toughest tracks demand it. In terms of Downhill performance and adjustability, the Vivid shock from RockShox is second to none. In the Coil version, the rear shock combines the unmistakable ride feel of a steel spring with the position-sensitive TouchDown RC2T damping, which allows every rider to effortlessly achieve the perfect ride feel for them.
The externally and completely independently adjustable high-speed and low-speed compression damping offers an unreal response at the beginning of the travel, plenty of support and control in the mid-travel range and the Adjustable Hydraulic Bottom-Out to soften the really hard landings. To ensure that the full spring travel can be utilized, the dimensions of the bottom-out bumpers are also specifically matched to the respective stroke length. With 20 clicks, the rebound adjustment provides a wider range of customization options as well, while the easy-to-adjust Threshold lever improves pedaling efficiency. Clever detail: The pull-out rebound adjustment knob features a 3 mm hexagon socket head, which is used to regulate the high-speed compression damping as well as the bottom-out.

TouchDown | The Playmaker. You can't see it, but hidden inside, the TouchDown technology is working flat out to deliver a smooth and supportive ride. The position-sensitive damping system is forgiving at the beginning of the suspension travel, while remaining calm in the middle and at the end of the stroke. Equipped in this way, the rear shock absorbs everything from small bumps to mega jumps.
Adjustable Hydraulic Bottom Out (AHBO) | This technology restricts the oil flow in the last 20 % of the suspension travel and provides a smooth hydraulic damping system that prevents harsh bottoming out. In the version for steel-sprung rear shocks (Coil), the compression damping in this range can even be precisely adjusted with the aid of a 5-stage controller: from fully open (no bottom-out resistance) to fully closed (full bottom-out resistance).
