The Shimano Deore FC-T521 crankset ensures efficient and optimal pedaling cadence by an adequate gear ratio. The harmonious design is mainly based on a 2-piece construction that allows an accurate chain line and the precious HG-X chainrings.

The crankset was specifically constructed for trekking riders. Hyperdrive HG-X chain rings guarantee for smooth and fast shifting.

By using a solid crank arm and a hollow axle, Shimano has found the perfect balance between stiffness, strength and maneuverability. With Shimano's forging technology, the developers were able to integrate a hollow bottom bracket, which provides high rigidity and low weight, ensuring a balance between these two properties.
