The Mod coil shock is built for sensitivity, control and reliability.

Sensitivity

Coil shocks excel at initial-touch sensitivity. The Mod’s high oil flow damping circuit and large volume bladder oil reservoir give fine levels of grip. They also allow the shock to run cooler, giving a consistent feel on long descents.

Control

The mid to end stroke is controlled by Formula’s Compression Tuning System, or CTS. These are rider-changeable valves that increase or decrease the hydraulic flow within the shock. CTS allows you to tune the shock’s characteristics to the way you ride. 

A simple polyurethane bump-stop prevents harsh bottom outs without the need for complex hydraulics.

Reliability

With major service intervals every 200 hours the Mod is reliable and can be serviced at home.

Technologies of the Formula MOD YOKE Coil Shock

LV Bladder

The Mod's large-volume bladder reduces friction and reaction time compared to an Internal Floating Piston design, this improves small-bump sensitivity and generates less heat for more consistent performance.

High Flow

The Mod uses a 30mm internal piston and large diameter oil circuits for improved sensitivity, reduced friction and better heat management. This gives a consistent feel on long descents and increases reliability.

CTS (Compression Tuning System)

The Mod uses the Compression Tuning System. User-changeable valves allow easy tuning of the shocks compression characteristics. Three CTS valves are included with the shock - gold (light compression), orange (mid compression), green (firm compression).
