OSPW X – Go Fast. Go Far.

Thanks to its unique design and extremely low-friction bearings, the Oversized Pulley Wheel system (OSPW) manages to optimize the overall efficiency of the drivetrain. The same applies to the OSPW X models, which are specially designed for gravel and cross disciplines. Their successful use in CX World Cups and prestigious races such as Paris-Robaix and Strade Bianche shows that they meet the corresponding requirements for durability, longevity and low friction to a particularly high degree.

The handmade OSPW systems consist of a cage as well as an upper and lower pulley, which are matched to the respective rear derailleur type by means of a corresponding number of teeth. The version for SRAM RED XPLR AXS 13-speed rear derailleurs features the innovative Alpha derailleur pulleys with 14/20 teeth and the integrated ADR bearing protection system. In addition, the molded carbon fiber cage has been redesigned to not only improve resistance and durability, but also to further reduce weight.

For even greater durability, both derailleur pulleys are equipped with ceramic hybrid bearings with coated stainless steel cups. Their entire running surfaces are coated with an extremely thin (2-3 micrometers) protective layer, which is 75 % harder than hardened steel. This not only reduces friction even further, but also makes the bearings less sensitive to dirt.

FURTHER DRIVE Technology = ALPHA Disc + Active Debris Remover (ADR)

To ensure the efficient performance of its derailleur pulleys over the long term, CeramicSpeed has introduced two technical innovations that provide long-lasting protection against contamination and wear.

The patent-pending ADR technology uses a new type of dust cover that is securely anchored in a groove in the derailleur pulley to completely enclose the bearing and protect it from dirt ingress. Meanwhile, the ALPHA concept relies on a disc-shaped derailleur pulley with a two-piece construction. The separate Narrow/Wide tooth profile is made of a special composite material to provide greater wear protection and reduce noise. The disc itself is made of solid aluminum, which not only increases rigidity and durability, but also prevents foreign bodies from getting stuck. What both technologies have in common is competition testing in off-road use, which successfully demonstrates their ability to effectively keep out mud and dirt even under the most adverse conditions.
