These more affordable shorts pack in as much technology as possible from our top-of-the-line pro racing shorts. And while they’re definitely suitable for weekend races, they’re also a high performer when it comes to comfort, even if you’ll never attach a race number to them. Most of the Competizione 2 Bib Shorts feature our textured Vortex fabric. On the leg, we’ve used a wide, stretchy anti-slip panel with integrated silicone to ensure a comfortable and reliable fit. The KISS Air2 seat pad is just as comfortable as our top-tier seat pad, but at a slightly lower price point.
Castelli has updated the straps: the back is made of mesh for good breathability, while the straps are lightweight and elastic, ensuring comfort even after hours on the saddle. Most of all, however, you’ll appreciate the Castelli team’s talent for pattern development in creating the perfect fit. With these shorts, you get the best of Castelli’s expertise in designing comfortable performance shorts in an affordable product for your cycling wardrobe.
