The new Fulcrum Speed Team are born to celebrate the spirit of competition and the adrenalin of racing, which have always defined the essence of Fulcrum.

Available in two versions, 42 mm and 57 mm, the Speed Team is a wheel that embodies technical perfection and bold design. An evolution of the Speed 42 and 57, it maintains the same technical specifications, but with one crucial difference: a lighter freewheel body with USB™ (Ultra Smooth Bearings) ceramic bearings. A racing solution that increases smoothness and efficiency even further, eliminating friction and guaranteeing an unrivalled ride feel.

The Speed Team wheels’ soul is based on innovation, while the design is a celebration of competitions. A new oversize logo, with a metallic effect, represents energy, daring and strength. The eye-catching graphics reveal an unequivocal passion for racing, whether it’s a gran fondo or the stage of Grand Tour. This iconic aesthetic celebrates the emotional connection between those who race to live and those who live to race.

Technologies of Fulcrum Speed Team 42 wheelset

The technical base for the Speed Team originates from the previous Speed 42 and 57mm, born out of over 4000 hours of research, development and testing. Every detail has been designed to offer reliability and racing performance:

• Full carbon rim with 23mm inner rim width ideal for 28 and 30mm tires, improves aerodynamic penetration by up to +10% and handling by up to +16%, compared to the previous generation with 19mm inner rim width
• 2-Way Fit™ technology with an inner rim channel without holes increases the resistance and stiffness of the rim, as well as removing the need for tubeless rim tape for easy tubeless tires use.
• External matt and internal polished finish C-LUX™ for a refined look and perfect tire fit.
• Flat aerodynamic spokes laced with the Two-to-One™ system, that doubles the number of spokes in the areas of greater stress to improve torsional stiffness and maximise power transfer.
• Ceramic USB™ (Ultra Smooth Bearing) hub bearings with a cup and cone system, maximise smoothness thanks to the perfect alignment of the forces at play.
• Lightened aluminium freewheel body with USB™ ceramic bearings.
