One of the most significant changes for XTR comes with an updated braking system that delivers Shimano’s most powerful and most predictable braking control ever.

Improving upon the Shimano’s lightest post-mount offering, the BR-M9200 two-piston post-mount caliper is equally at home on the World Cup cross country circuit when paired with BL-M9200 lever, or on rougher, steeper trails with the BL-M9220 Enduro/trail lever. Heat-resistant resin pistons, resin and metal pad options, and new low viscosity mineral oil make the M9200 caliper the ideal option for any two-piston brake requirement.

Only low-viscosity hydraulic brake fluid should be used. The brake is not compatible with 203/220mm rotors.
