Because anyone can build brakes that stop light bikes. But the Gustav Pro decelerates even the heaviest bikes with ease and is therefore predestined for your most potent e-bikes and gravity machines.

If you ride demanding routes and trails, you need to be able to rely completely on your brakes. But even the most powerful brakes are useless if you can't modulate them sensitively. The Gustav Pro combines stability, power and modulation like no other brake. Consistent performance from the summit to the valley.

4-piston brake caliper

This brake makes every other brake look like a toy! By enlarging the pistons to 19mm, Magura achieves unprecedented stability and sensitivity - even under the highest loads.

By enlarging the pistons, the overall pressure level of the brake has been reduced. This means that less pressure is lost due to line expansion. The result is a defined pressure point with good modulation.

13.S brake pad

Because the brake pad is more than just a wearing part, a lot of work has gone into the development of the 13.S!As a perfect all-rounder, it achieves the valuable sweet spot between braking power, stability, low noise and durability. In the overall system, the Gustav offers you a particularly quiet, reliable and yet powerful braking sensation! With 94 % more pad volume compared to the MT7, you'll stay out of the workshop for a particularly long time.

Easy Bleed

The new bleed valve and a circumferential oil channel without dead ends make bleeding the Gustav Pro child's play.

Gustav Pro brake lever

Your bikes are too beautiful for ugly brakes! That's why the Gustav Pro brake lever integrates perfectly into modern cockpits with a 0-degree cable outlet. With 7ml oil volume in the reservoir - almost twice as much as the MT7 - Magura has done everything to ensure that bleeding is rarely necessary. The brake is also ABS compatible.
Integrated Shiftmix compatibility allows you to mount SRAM and Shimano shift levers on the Gustav Pro.

PRO brake levers

Your point of contact with the Gustav. The new Pro brake lever on the Gustav is based on the HC-W brake lever developed together with Loic Bruni with an adapted min-reach setting.
It offers a comfortable length to save hand force and yet a crisp pressure point feel.

In the event of a fall, a predetermined breaking point on the grip surface ensures that the brake lever suffers less damage. Changing the lever is even quicker than usual thanks to the bolted lever bearing point. The Reach Adjust is elegantly integrated into the lever and is therefore particularly well protected.

Installation with ease

With the MAGURA EASY LINK technology, MAGURA offers a simple plug'n play connection of the brake hose, known from the MAGURA ABS components and the MAGURA cockpit integration. On the Gustav Pro, MAGURA has now integrated the technology invisibly into the brake lever of a disc brake for the first time.

This means you can disconnect and connect your cable from the brake lever at any time and without special tools. A real game changer for initial assembly and all maintenance work on the bike - not least for awkward headset cable routing. And if the inevitable happens and you have to repair crash damage, EASY LINK is also your best friend.
