MX Competition last
With a larger toe box and narrower heel than the Comfort last and slightly more overall volume than the Sport last. Exceptionally secure for hard riding/racing with enough room in the toe box to prevent pinching when running up climbs or tackling a hike-a-bike section. Designed for performance riding and racing.

Outsole
The Lake Competition midsole is made of 100% carbon fiber and is combined with the Mountain Competition rubber sole, which offers extended protection. The Mountain Competition rubber sole contains larger tread blocks that provide excellent grip on almost all surfaces. This construction makes the cycling shoe stable and sure-footed. It is suitable for wet weather and various conditions.

Upper material
The upper material made of softshell fabric and water-repellent micro fibre as well as the moisture-regulating inner lining with seam-bonded membrane barrier make this cycling shoe very water repellant. It is suitable for various conditions. The Clarino micro fibre is extremely durable and supple like leather, yet significantly lighter. The upper material is treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, which prevents it from absorbing water. As with all other water repellant products, this DWR coating must be applied with a commercially available DWR spray. If the shoe is exposed to elements such as rain or mud, the coating will wash out over time, so it will need to be reapplied if used frequently in these conditions.

Closure
The hard-wearing quick-release fasteners allow the shoes to be opened and closed quickly and remain in place. The easily replaceable quick-release fasteners allow unlimited adjustment for an optimal, secure fit and unsurpassed comfort.

Water resistance
The upper is treated with a durable water repellant (DWR) coating that will wear off over time. It is recommended to reapply a DWR spray 1-2 times per year for moderate riders and every 2-3 wet rides for daily riders.

For use with winter socks, we recommend ordering 1 to 1.5 sizes larger than your usual Lake Cycling shoe size.
