The Approach Down Hoody is a layer of clothing that can be worn over a shirt on cool multi-pitch routes or under a shell for ice climbing and winter temperatures in alpine terrain. The ultra-light nylon ripstop outer material of the Approach Hoody is equipped with the revolutionary Breathable Water Protection technology from Green Theme International. This is an environmentally friendly, PFC-free DWR coating that offers superior performance and durability compared to other DWR solutions. The RDS-certified HyperDRY™ goose down insulation with a fill power of 800 provides down-soft, highly compressible warmth that easily withstands bad weather. For transportation, the vest is packed in the left breast pocket and can be attached to the climbing harness using the integrated loop.
