CTRL + ALT + DEL – Rebooting Clipless Pedals
With unparalleled control, power transfer and durability, Wolf Tooth's new product range is designed to provide a fresh perspective on clipless pedals. In addition to outstanding specifications in terms of weight and dimensions, the pedals, which are compatible with the SPD system, stand out with an adjustable Q-factor as innovative feature.
Designed, machined, and assembled at Wolf Tooth HQ in Minnesota, USA.
The ALT XC clipless pedals are designed to deliver outstanding performance, especially on trails and Gravel routes. Although they are lighter and lower in height than comparable models, the Wolf Tooth pedals offer a larger contact surface, which improves both controllability and power transmission. The design of the MTB pedals is characterized by a more open middle area, which repels dirt and mud more efficiently. Meanwhile, the SPD-compatible click mechanism enables quick and precise engagement as well as disengagement. Thanks to a clever internal arrangement of bearings and spacers, the Q-factor can be adjusted in increments of 4 mm – simply and uncomplicated, so that anyone can easily carry out the process at home.

Maximum Shoe Contact. The large platform ensures an increased contact area between pedal and shoe. While many SPD-compatible models have only the cleat and cage as contact points, the ALT pedals also include the pedal body itself. The result is an control and power transmission unparalleled for a Cross Country pedal.
Stainless Durability. These pedals last probably longer than the bike itself. Both the axle as well as the unit with the click mechanism are made of stainless steel for robust and rust-free pedals that can withstand even the toughest and muddiest trails.
Crisp SPD Clipping. Clicking in and out must be simple, fast and reliable. Wolf Tooth has optimized its stainless steel binding so that it not only clicks in and out quickly, but also remains securely engaged at the crucial moments. The mechanism is optimized for Wolf Tooth's own pedal plates (included), but is also compatible with all other SPD cleats.
Ground Clearance & Mud Shedding. Compared to other models, the ALT XC pedals are characterized by a slim profile with a more open middle area. While the low cross-section reduces the risk of bumps when cornering or riding over rocks and roots, the open design quickly removes dirt so that the click mechanism is not obstructed.
Reliable Construction. Machined at Wolf Tooth headquarters in Minnesota, USA. Internally, the ALT XC pedals use the same proven design as the popular Waveform model. Per pedal, this means one milled stainless steel axle, three low-friction cartridge bearings and an Igus bushing with a special radial seal that prevents the ingress of dirt. Or to put it simply: these pedals will perform under all conditions.
