The Fuel EX 8 is a confident and versatile trail bike that will give you lots of fun. Its trail-ready spec includes an Alpha NEXT Platinum aluminum frame, a FOX Performance suspension package with 150 mm of front and 145 mm of rear suspension travel, Bontrager Line aluminum wheels, and a smooth-shifting SRAM Eagle 70 transmission. It is rounded off with hydraulic SRAM DB 8 4-piston disc brakes, which guarantee the shortest braking distances in every situation.

Adjustable progression – Want more resistance to bottoming out without changing the suspension response to small bumps? Turn the chip in the lower shock mount for a more progressive curve.

Integrated Zero Stack headset - The Zero Stack headset allows you to choose from countless aftermarket solutions to upgrade your cockpit with a different steering angle or anodized parts.

Storage compartment and accessory mounts - Store tools and other essential items in the downtube storage compartment on both the aluminum and carbon models of the Fuel. And thanks to the convenient mounting points on the top tube, you can carry even more gear.

Fresh frame design - The new Fuel frame offers plenty of space for long-travel dropper posts, larger shock absorbers, frame bags, and much more.

Active Braking Pivot Active Braking Pivot allows Trek engineers to fine-tune how the suspension responds independently to acceleration and braking forces. This gives you more confidence in critical situations.

Transmission instead of drive unit - The SRAM Eagle T-Type Transmission is attached directly to the frame, eliminating the need for vulnerable derailleur hangers. This creates a more robust system that not only looks cleaner, but is also easier to set up and shifts more precisely under load.

A better method of aluminum production - In 2024, Trek began removing high-emission aluminum from its own production and replacing it with low-emission aluminum produced using renewable energy. By October 2025, nearly all aluminum bikes manufactured by Trek—including this model—will have been converted, resulting in a significant reduction in carbon footprint.
