Details of the Dakine Builder 40L Mountain Bike backpack

The unique Builder Pack was developed more than 15 years ago with the aim of helping trail builders transport essential tools to their construction sites. It has been continuously refined based on feedback from some of the world's leading trail builders, and this 40-liter version has been redesigned with key features that make it even easier to transport full-size tools from a vehicle to a construction site, usually on foot. The backpack has been updated with a durable ripstop material made from recycled polyester and offers ample storage space for snacks, gloves, extra clothing, personal protective equipment, and first aid supplies. The reinforced frame with anchors allows for the transport of heavier power tools with a low center of gravity and features a large, expandable chainsaw compartment. The frame can be converted to a flatbed configuration to carry bulky items such as the tried-and-true five-gallon bucket, while external belts hold longer hand tools such as rakes, pulaskis, and McLeods, with additional chains to keep them out of the way while riding. The front pockets have been enlarged to provide more space for water bottles, spare batteries, and gas cans. A sturdy hip belt and chest strap with integrated rescue whistle help keep bulky loads low and close to the body for ultimate freedom of movement as you set out to build that great new line.
