Park Tool BKD-1.2 Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit - DOT

The BKD-1.2 Bleed Kit for Hydraulic Brakes bleeds most models of hydraulic disc brakes using DOT fluid, including models from SRAM®, Formula®, Hayes®, and Hope®. Bleeding hydraulic brakes removes air bubbles and contaminants from the brake system to ensure long component life and optimal performance. Designed for tough everyday use, the BKD-1.2 includes two syringes, hoses with shut-off clamps, bleed blocks in various sizes, and a set of our unique mountable syringe holders, as well as multiple hose connectors for the various standards used in hydraulic bicycle brake systems. All parts are interchangeable and available from Park Tool. Housed in a sturdy storage case.

The BKD-1.2 has been updated to improve compatibility and ease of use:

• Added: An additional syringe holder for added comfort. Two 11 mm bleed blocks as specified for certain newer brake models, including Hayes Dominion.
• All hose ends have been fitted with new, captive connections that significantly improve the quality of the gasket during installation.
• The hose compression sleeve has been redesigned with a thinner tube to allow access to tighter spaces, such as those found on some Hope brakes.
• The adapters for older Hayes brakes have been removed.

The BKD-1.2 is only suitable for hydraulic bicycle brake systems with DOT fluid. DOT fluid and mineral oil must never be mixed in the brake system or in the respective tools.
