The RaceFace Era SL wheel was designed to bridge the gap between two disciplines to excel at both ends of the spectrum. It is neither a typical XC race wheel nor an enduro wheel for hardcore downhills. Rather, it's a good middle ground for the wide range of bikers who happily ride between these extremes.

At just 384 grams, the Era SL Carbon is the lightest rim ever made by Race Face. This low rotational mass allows for quick acceleration and maintains momentum on climbs. The wheel is light enough for XC weekend racers who want to push their bicycle far beyond the demands of a typical XC race course.

Ride rough.

The Era SL relies on a profile height of 22 mm for the necessary strength, so you can turn into rough sections on your bicycle without regret or hesitation. The inner width of 29 mm means that tires with a width of up to 2.6 inches can be fitted, allowing bikers to benefit from low tire pressure, low rolling resistance and high traction.

Flexible and efficient

Spoked with the proven and reliable RaceFace Vault hub, the Era SL wheels impress with maximum lateral compliance, absorb small impacts and reduce biker fatigue without compromising on the drive efficiency that is so important in XC. With a pressure angle of only 3 degrees and large bearings, the Vault hub continues to rotate reliably even after years of daily use.
