The RAPID XT GTX is a waterproof approach shoe and is ideal for technical approaches and easy climbing. Thanks to its heel counter, it performs excellently downhill on scree. The all-round rand protects the foot.
Features of the Scarpa Rapid XT GTX approach shoes for men
UPPER
The leather upper is abrasion-resistant thanks to the all-round TPU band and rubber toe cap. The overall construction is characterized by a good balance between protection, comfort, and low weight.
LINING
The sustainable Gore-Tex ePE membrane is lightweight, thin, yet strong, making the product waterproof and breathable.
The PFAS-free laminate, including the DWR (durable water repellent) treatment, demonstrates a commitment to responsible use of chemicals while reducing the carbon footprint (according to Higg MSI).
SOLE
The Agility XT with Vibram MegaGrip combines a climbing zone at the toe with a rear braking system. A 3D TPU insert in the medial area provides stability and high grip when traversing. The 3.5 mm lugs offer a balance between sensitivity and durability, making them ideal for all types of climbs.
