Features of the Scarpa Mustang TRK GTX trekking shoes
UPPER
The upper combines water repellent suede with 45% recycled ECO-Mesh, offering a durable and more sustainable material package suitable for a variety of hikes and trekking tours. A protective TPU layer on the synthetic material increases durability in high-wear areas to counteract abrasion. The construction with a padded collar and tongue ensures comfort and protection from external elements, while the TPU heel stabilizer supports and protects the heel during foot strike.
LACING
A differentiated lacing system, designed for high stability in the forefoot area and increased comfort around the ankle.
In the forefoot area, closed lace eyelets ensure smooth gliding of the laces and allow for an even fit and secure hold of the foot. In the upper area, open lace eyelets make it easier to put the shoe on and allow for an even and progressive adjustment of the lacing tension.
A lace lock is positioned between the instep and the ankle, allowing for individual adjustment and secure fastening of the lacing, which enhances comfort and stability during use.
LINING
The GORE-TEX PRISM XT membrane offers reliable waterproof protection combined with breathability and is suitable for use on wet surfaces.
INSOLE
The lightweight PU midsole, combined with IKS geometry and encased in a protective TPU structure, offers a balanced blend of agility and support and is ideal for day hikes and short trekking tours.
SOLE
The VIBRAM® XS TREK outsole with 5 mm tread depth ensures stability and traction on technical, uneven, or slippery terrain and helps reduce the risk of missteps. The integrated rubber toe cap, which extends from the outsole, increases durability and protects the foot from impacts caused by rocks and sharp surfaces.
