- New and improved STICKYGRIP™ rubber outsole: Inov-8 has reformulated their STICKYGRIP™ rubber for the second generation of the MUDTALON™ series. The new formula offers the same reliable grip and even improves on it, with greater slip resistance on wet surfaces compared to the V1 MUDTALON™ series. Whether it's thick, slushy mud or treacherous wet rocks, Inov-8's new STICKYGRIP™ formula is more reliable than ever.
- Aggressive 8 mm lugs: The hallmark of the MUDTALON™ series is its aggressive 8mm lugs. They offer excellent off-trail grip and give you the confidence you need to tackle steep climbs, descents and the muddiest bogs! Thanks to their length, MUDTALON™ lugs can penetrate even the thickest mud and come back for more.
- FLYSPEED™ Pro Midsole: Fly over the ground with the super-critical (nitrogen-enriched) FLYSPEED™ Pro foam midsole. This durable foam offers an excellent balance between cushioning, ground feel and stability on uneven terrain. Ideal when you need lasting comfort and support to cover many kilometers.
- Improved upper: All V2 shoes in the MUDTALON™ series now benefit from an improved, quick-drying upper. A new upper material pattern increases support in the MET-CRADLE and ensures a more secure fit in the midfoot area. There are also additional drainage holes to drain water as quickly as possible, a new, slimmer tongue and 3D print overlays for improved protection and durability.
- NATURALFIT™: Inov-8's shoes provide a firm hold on the heel and midfoot for more security and control. They are cut wider in the toe area so that the toes can spread out and move naturally. This allows you to feel the ground better and realize your full, natural potential.

A super-critical foam - FLYSPEED™ PRO - provides cushioning in the midsole of the shoe and, in combination with the BOOMERANG FOOTBED, ensures a light, springy and responsive ride. Another improvement to the V2 is the upper material of the shoe. This has been redesigned to allow better drainage while providing better midfoot support so you can feel confident when running on boggy hills. Rounding out the improvements is a slimmer tongue that makes the shoe look as fast as it feels!
