Tested in the wind tunnel, proven in practice

Aerodynamics is a decisive advantage, ensuring greater efficiency and safe handling in all wind conditions. With over 15 years of experience in developing extremely fast wheels, ENVE is now bringing this expertise to the Foundation series.

Like the SES wheels, the AR40 was developed and tested in the wind tunnel to ensure aerodynamic performance that proves itself in real-world conditions. Unlike many other brands, ENVE tests its wheels not only individually and exclusively at top speed, but also when installed and at different speeds between 32 and 48 km/h. This ensures values that can be directly transferred to practical use.

Faster rolling, fewer punctures

Since 2016, ENVE has become increasingly convinced of the advantages of the tubeless system. Without an inner tube, there is no friction between the tires and the inner tube. The tires can deform more freely and adapt better to the ground, resulting in greater efficiency and a smoother ride.

Tire sealant prevents almost all punctures that would otherwise be caused by thorns or small foreign objects. This means fewer interruptions and more uninterrupted miles.

The AR40 offers reliable protection against potholes and hard impacts. ENVE's patented Wide Hookless Bead forms a reinforced, wider edge on the rim flange that effectively distributes impact energy and significantly reduces the risk of punctures.

This design means that the wheels need to be trued much less often. The result is a strong, lightweight, and virtually maintenance-free wheel that remains reliable over the long term.
