Enve is based in Ogden, Utah. Ogden is known as the "hub of the gilet". This is where the railroad projects of the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroad companies met. The first transcontinental railroad in the USA was completed here in 1869. Since then, the region has undergone major changes. From an industrial town, Ogden has reinvented itself as an outdoor destination in recent years. Mountain biking, among other things, is popular here. And ENVE, one of the most respected companies manufacturing products for this sport, is based here. The brand was founded in 2007 by a group of cycling enthusiasts from the region. Among them were carbon specialists, engineers and business people. Initially, they mainly produced for other companies, but gradually focused more and more on their own products. The breakthrough came in 2007 with the introduction of its own carbon rims. Even today, all ENVE rims are manufactured 100 percent in Ogden and are completely made in the USA. From stems, handlebars and forks to complete road bikes, ENVE now has a diverse product portfolio. From the ENVE wheelset to the ENVE seatpost: Here you get carbon components at the absolute top level.
The Enve Carbon Wheels at a Glance
Enve SES and Enve Foundation 45 & 65
ENVE SES wheelsets are the absolute classic in the brands range. SES stands for absolutely high-quality road bike wheels. They are available in different versions. A real all-rounder is the ENVE SES 3.4 wheelset, which combines low weight, high stiffness and good aero properties. The highly efficient ENVE aero wheels of the SES 5.6 and SES 7.8 series are primarily intended for racing. With the ENVE 45 and ENVE 65 Foundation wheels, the ENVE range now includes more affordable road bike wheels. The ENVE 45 has been developed for all-round use. The ENVE 65 has a high aero profile and is primarily intended for racing and time trials. All ENVE road bikes are available for use with rim brakes or disc brakes.
Enve M Series & Foundation Am 30
What the SES series is to racing bikes, the ENVE M series is to mountain bikes. The ENVE MTB wheels have different focuses depending on the model. The ENVE M5 is the all-round wheelset that was developed according to the motto: light enough for racing, robust enough for every day. With the M9, ENVE has a genuine downhill mountain bike wheelset in its range, while the M6 Fat has been specially developed for fat bikes. For mountain bikes, there is – as with the electric road bikes – a more affordable Foundation wheelset: the ENVE AM30 is a real all-rounder for daily use on the home trails.
Enve G Series & Foundation Ag 25 & 28
G stands for Gravel. ENVE is also ideally positioned in this discipline. The G23 comes with 700C rims, while the G27 is designed for 650B. ENVE gravel wheels are designed to be extremely robust for tough use on gravel roads. They are recommended for a maximum tire width of 45 mm and are optimized for tubeless use. In the more affordable ENVE Foundation series, the AG25 and AG28 wheels are the 700C and 650B counterparts to the top models in the G series.
The Various Enve Components for Your Bike
In addition to the wheels, ENVE has a whole range of other parts for all cycling disciplines in its program:
- ENVE handlebars
- ENVE stems
- ENVE forks
- ENVE seatpost
- Small parts such as ENVE bike computer mounts, bar tape and bottle cages
New to the range are ENVE's own road bike tires ENVE SES Road Tire and the ENVE fork for gravel use, the Adventure Fork.
The Enve Company and the Topic of Sustainability
ENVE has invested heavily in regional production facilities in recent years. At ENVE, products are not just designed and then cheaply manufactured in the Far East. For many products, every production step takes place under the roof of the ENVE production facility in Ogden. For example, all ENVE rims are manufactured there and are 100 percent made in the USA. ENVE has invested heavily in its own machinery, in a test laboratory and in quality management. All this comes at a price, which is why ENVE products are not cheap, but worth their price. With the new "Foundation Collection", ENVE is taking the first step towards offering more affordable products. To achieve this, ENVE has used its know-how to significantly reduce labor and manufacturing costs compared to premium products. The typical ENVE values, above all the high quality standards, are retained 100 percent.
