In this wheel, SON combines its 29S hub dynamo with high-quality rims and spokes.

Slim design

A new dynamo model is here: the SON 29 S is so slim and narrow that you would hardly expect it to be a dynamo. Thanks to the optimized design of the generator, the standardized nominal data of 6 volts / 3 watts is achieved at a comparatively low speed. It therefore also meets the StVZO requirements for 29" wheels. This enables intelligent charging electronics to deliver particularly high performance.

Straight-pull spoke technology

The straight spokes technology is ideal for the stiffness/load capacity to weight ratio. The disc side is tangential, the connection side is radially spoked. Two versions are available with 32 equal (16:16) or 24 unequal (16:8) spoke counts.

Integrated coax socket

The standard version has an integrated coaxial socket for the SON coaxial plug. The coaxial adapter enables a convenient and secure connection to SON hub dynamos. With the coaxial plug, the headlight cable can be easily plugged in and out when installing and removing the wheel. Self-contacting is also available.
