- 100% GORE-TEX: Equipped with GORE-TEX membrane, making the shoe reliably waterproof, windproof and breathable
- VIBRAM® APPTRAIL II Sole: Working as a team, the distinctive design of the sole VIBRAM® APPTRAIL II, its expanded contact area and dynamic heel profile deliver optimal uphill and downhill performance
- X-Lacing: Holds the tongue in place with the help of the laces and prevents slippage in the process
- Lowa Flex: Upper design with freely moving lace hooks and lacing systems
- C4-Tongue: Special tongue construction with asymmetric padding for even pressure distribution
- 2 Zone Lacing: The forefoot and upper area can be laced in varying degrees of tightness
- Roller Eyelets: Roller eyelets make for easy lacing
- Flexfit: Increased flexibility of the upper for pleasant walking

The system that features X-LACING®, the dual-zone lacing and roller eyelets also creates a fit that is tailored to each wearer’s individual needs. To help people walk naturally, we have added a lace hook that works in combination with the FLEXFIT® system and reduced the amount of material used in this area. To prepare this moderately stiff hiking boot for any type of weather, the tough nubuk leather of which the footwear is made is equipped with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane.
