Three designs define the range: integrated PowerTube and CompactTube batteries, PowerPacks for the frame or rear rack and the PowerMore 250. Your system comes before capacity: the smart system and eBike-System 2 are not compatible with each other. Once you've identified your system, choose the design and range you need.
Bosch PowerTube & CompactTube – integrated batteries
These batteries sit inside the down tube for a clean bike profile. Depending on the frame, they are installed horizontally or vertically.
- PowerTube 540, 600 and 800: The new generation with its own mount. For long e-MTB days, the 800 offers the highest capacity of the integrated options.
- PowerTube 500, 625 and 750: Proven options for trekking, urban riding and e-MTBs. The 500 and 625 are available for both systems, while the 750 is only available for the smart system.
- CompactTube 400: Slim and fully integrated. It's the solution for sporty bikes with the smart system where space inside the down tube is limited.
Bosch PowerPack & range extender – external batteries
These batteries sit externally on the bike and can be removed in just a few steps. That's practical when you want to charge at the office or at home.
- PowerPack Frame: Positioned on the down tube for a low center of gravity. The smart system offers 400, 545 and 800, while the eBike-System 2 uses 500. The 800 is designed for long rides.
- PowerPack Rack: Mounted on the rear rack and easy to remove while standing. For city and trekking bikes, the 400 or 500 covers everyday riding.
- PowerMore 250: A bottle-sized additional battery that mounts to the bottle cage bosses. If you need extra capacity on a ride, it works with compatible smart system bikes from model year 2024 onward. The PowerMore 250 can be used as a second battery in a DualBattery configuration.
Bosch e-bike battery technologies
Bosch combines lithium-ion cells with its own control electronics across its battery range. The Battery Management System monitors each battery, while DualBattery combines two batteries into a single energy supply. In the smart system, digital features provide additional battery security.
