The warm and breathable R1® Ultralight Hoody is a technical fleece hoody and an indispensable companion for professional athletes and passionate climbers. It is almost as light as underwear and has a smooth, abrasion-resistant exterior, so you don't have to worry about rough rock edges. It is part of Patagonia's Free Wall Kits. The Free Wall Kit was developed to meet the demands of Patagonia's ambassadors and their advanced modern climbing techniques. It is designed for long, difficult multi-pitch routes where even the smallest break can release the energy needed for success. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ facility.

Features of the Patagonia R1 Ultralight Anorak for men

  • The airy, breathable fabric offers unparalleled comfort against the skin, and the smooth outer surface is particularly abrasion-resistant; a narrow fit optimizes freedom of movement and fits easily under a harness and jacket.
  • The hood fits perfectly under a helmet and provides extra warmth.
  • The long front zipper provides quick ventilation and opens wide enough to quickly remove the hoody even with stiff shoulders or a helmet.
  • The unique sleeve construction from a single piece of fabric avoids shoulder seams and thus ensures greater comfort under a backpack.
  • Two chest pockets with vertical zippers keep snacks, maps, and cell phones handy without adding bulk.
  • The close-fitting berms cover the wrist completely and can be easily pushed up; the neatly finished hem has enough length to sit securely under a harness.
