The flagship frame set of the new Defy series is super light and particularly flexible, representing the leader in endurance performance on the road. The frame and fork are both made from high-quality GIANT Advanced SL carbon, and the new SLR D-Fuse seatpost provides better road holding with a slight bend (up to 7 mm).

DEFY ADVANCED SL frame set technologies

Advanced SL Composite Technology - This highest grade carbon fiber is used to create an exclusive composite frame material that is woven and processed in Giant's own factory. Carbon nanotube (CNT) technology involves adding a microscopic polymer to GIANT's special resin mixture. These CNT particles act as miniature support pillars, strengthening the composite layers. CNT-treated frames are 14 times more impact-resistant than frames without CNT and are up to 100 g lighter. 

Compact Road Design - The Compact Road Design was introduced in the 1990s by GIANT with the professional ONCE team and revolutionized the look of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward-sloping top tube creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bicycle. It makes it easier for riders of all sizes to find the perfect fit.

OverDrive Aero - The D-shaped steerer tube provides an extremely aerodynamic, easier-to-maintain system of internally routed brake and shift cables.

D-Fuse Seatpost - The proprietary D-shaped composite seatpost acts as a shock absorber, dampening vibrations for a smooth, comfortable ride.
