At the heart of its functionality is a proprietary, high-density knit fabric that achieves windproofing on par with a membrane—while maintaining high breathability and efficient moisture-wicking. For example, during a descent, the vest can continue to actively wick moisture away from the jersey while providing reliable, comfortable wind protection. The intelligent material structure is complemented by a newly developed, body-zone-specific pattern based on wind tunnel analyses of cold airflow around the body.

- Advanced Body Mapping
Based on data from wind tunnel tests, the thermal fabric has been extended across the back to ensure complete protection from cold winds that naturally flow around the upper body. Strategically placed mesh inserts also facilitate heat dissipation to prevent overheating. -

The high-density knit of the Gregarius vest offers windproofness comparable to that of membrane vests, while providing breathability and moisture-wicking performance that cannot be achieved with membrane fabrics. The high-density woven UF hybrid shell uses silver threads and recycled coffee bean residues to trap body heat while allowing excess moisture to escape. The adaptive construction acts as a wind barrier without a membrane and enhances breathability.
