Scientific research has shown that many types of (malaria) mosquitoes and other insects bite mainly on the feet, ankles, and lower legs. Ticks, for example, live in low vegetation such as tall grass, bushes, and heathland, and thus easily come into contact with your feet or lower legs. By protecting these areas, you reduce the risk of being bitten by an insect or tick!
Bugsox are comfortable, insect-repellent socks. These impregnated socks from Care Plus are treated with permethrin, which makes them insect- and tick-repellent and also protects against bacteria. This makes the socks very durable and prevents them from smelling or discoloring. The insecticide on the socks is lethal to mosquitoes and other insects. Ticks cannot run or sit on them. Bugsox can prevent up to 90% of bites! Permethrin does not irritate the skin and is completely biodegradable.
Care Plus impregnated socks are made from bamboo viscose, which makes them odorless and keeps them fresh for longer. These socks are comfortable to wear in both high and low temperatures. Thanks to its moisture absorption and ventilation properties, bamboo stays cool in hot weather. In cold weather, the microstructure of bamboo viscose acts as a base layer and has a warming effect. Bugsox are seamless and offer a very high level of comfort, even during long-term use. Wear these insect-repellent socks on an outing or hike and your feet, ankles, and lower legs will be protected against tick bites and insect stings.
Bugsox Adventure contain Coolmax®, a specially developed polyester fiber that gives the socks moisture-regulating and quick-drying properties. Coolmax® absorbs moisture from the skin and transports it to the outer layer of the sock, where it can then evaporate. Your feet stay dry and fresh! These impregnated socks are perfect for an outing or hike, but are also ideal sports socks. No more damp, sweaty socks!
